"Today is a symbolic day. Kazakhstanis once again demonstrated their unity that overtakes all the difficulties arising in the way. The entire country like in one motion came to polling station to vote for their future. I saw people come to elections with children and grandchildren, in whole families. People were standing in lines for a long time to cast a vote. I saw it myself. It touches the heart, it puts more responsibility on the shoulders. It motivates to think day and night what to do next for increasing the living standards of the people of the country and the prosperity of the nation," N. Nazarbayev said.

The Head of State noted that the Central Election Commission summed up the preliminary results of the election and announced that 97.7% of the people voted for incumbent president of the country.
