WCO held conference of Heads of Customs services

BRUSSELS. May 20. KAZINFORM Yerzhan Ospanov/ Sixth conference of Heads of Customs services of states of European region of the World Customs Organization (WCO) was held on May 18-19 in Bergen (Norway), Kazinform refers to the press service of the WCO.
Issues of WCO strategy ?Customs of the XXI century?, results of the session of the Political Commission, Finance Committee and the Audit Committee, institutional development, integrated border management, information exchange and organizational and administrative issues were discussed at the conference.
Presentations of the customs services of Kazakhstan and former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on establishment in of the WCO regional training centers in Astana and Skopje and presentation of Azerbaijan on establishment of the WCO regional center on institutional development in Baku were held as well.
Today 174 states are members of the WCO. Kazakhstan has been member of the Organization since 1992.
