Waiting edgily for start of Asian Games - Harry Choi

ALMATY. January 21. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ The upcoming Asian Games are not only a significant sports event but also an event that plays an important role in strengthening friendly relations between our countries.

Vice President of Hyundai Motor Company Harry Choi said told in the interview to a Kazinform correspondent. He attended the opening ceremony of "Hyundai" bus and truck assembly plant in Almaty region.

"I am impatiently waiting for the start of the Asian Games as well as all my countrymen. More than 1500 sportsmen from South Korea will participate in the event", H. Choi emphasized.

According to him the Games open new opportunities for cooperation between the countries and become one more factor for growth of Kazakhstan's image at the international level. "The competitions of such a level attract attention of millions of people and sports fans. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the Games due to busy schedule but I am definitely going to watch them on television", H. Choi noted.

He also said that he had always been a fan of short-track competitions. He thinks that it is really interesting to watch it and it requires speed and tactical thinking from sportsmen. "I am going to root for our team", he added.
