Volume of industrial production in Kazakhstan grew by 1.8%

ASTANA. June 14. KAZINFORM - The volume of industrial production since the beginning of 2013 is amounting to KZT 7 321.5 billion (tenge) and has increased by 1.8% in comparison with the same period of the last year. This has been announced today by Alikhan Smailov, the chairman of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, at a press briefing.

According to Smailov mining and quarry operations' production output has increased by 2.3% and manufacturing by 1.6%.

The head of the statistics agency also voiced some other indicators of economy. Thus, the volume of retail trade in the five months since the beginning of the year amounts to KZT 1 834.4 billion, it has gone up to 12.8% compared to the last year. The wholesale trade volume is also undergoing growth by 12.8% and amounts to KZT 4,729 billion.
