Vnesheconombank Chairman V. Dmitriev: Astana Economic Forum - important platform for discussion of issues of global economics and finance

According to him, Kazakhstan is confidently emerging from the crisis and shows good dynamics in terms of institutional changes.

"I believe that the work performed by the development institutions, in particular, Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, Kazakhstan Development Bank - is absolutely correct. For us it is important that we actively cooperate with them," Dmitriev noted.

"Samruk-Kazyna is a co-investor of the Infrastructure Investment Fund and we closed our first deal last year. This fund is also planning to invest some projects in Kazakhstan. But in other areas I have no doubt that Samruk-Kazyna and Kazakhstan Development Bank will continue to promote our cooperation," he emphasized.

"The first project of Ekibastuz Hydro Power Plant, if it is launched, will be a perfect illustration of Russian Vnesheconombank's involvement in the financing of foreign trade contracts in the framework of Kazakh-Russian investment projects. There are some nuances, but basically all the documentation has been worked out, and Russian companies are ready to work with Kazakhstan," Vladimir Dmitriev resumed.
