Vladivostok to host intl ecological forum in October

The forum to be held on October 6-8 will be devoted to the ecology of the sea. ?Today, we need to generalize the world experience and share information about the state of environment, implement an effective policy of managing coastal areas and preventing their pollution as well as purification of the sea from pollutants and industrial waste,? a representative of the regional organization said. It has been suggested to discuss the implementation of such major projects as the construction of sewage dispersal plants and the reclamation of the existing practice ground of solid domestic wastes in the city of Vladivostok. The international ecological forum will be held in Vladivostok for the fourth time. As a rule, the gathering produces resolutions and policy documents that contain practical recommendations of scientists for rational use of natural resources, the improvement of ecological situation and the safe handling of waste. Some recommendations have already been fulfilled.
