Viktor Yanukovych officially assumes office of Ukrainian President

V. February 25. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Newly-elected President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has officially assumed the office of the Head of the State. He took an oath at the session of the Verkhovna Rada.
Head of the Constitutional Court Andriy Stryzhak handed over to the leader of the Party of Regions a certificate of assumption to the post of the President and official symbols of the Head of the State - the sign (collar) of the President of Ukraine, the presidential mace and the official seal of the President of Ukraine.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission Volodymyr Shapoval handed over certificate of the President of Ukraine to Viktor Yanukovych.
100 delegations, including 11 heads of state, 4 prime minister and 4 chairmen of parliaments, arrived in Kiev for participation in the inauguration ceremony.
V.Yanukovych is the fourth President of Ukraine.
