VI Autumn School of Russian Studies started in Astana

During three days outstanding linguists of Moscow, Astana and Karaganda will hold a cycle of seminars, master-classes and lectures for school teachers.

"Our country is strengthening the status of the state language that is natural. At the same time the relation towards the Russian language and literature is still reverent as some years ago", Dean of History and Philology Department of L.N. Gumilyev Eurasian National University Sholpan Zharkynbekova said.

According to Senior Adviser to the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan Sergey Annenkov "the quality of competence in Russian language in Kazakhstan is higher than in other CIS countries".

The event was organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo jointly with the Eurasian National University and Lomonosov Moscow State University affiliate in Kazakhstan.
