MINSK. June 30. KAZINFORM The trilateral cooperation which helps Belarus get light Venezuelan oil will be continued, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Belarus Americo Diaz Nunez told reporters on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
According to Americo Diaz Nunez, this scheme is the most beneficial one as it reduces the transit expenses to Belarus. Many years ago the Soviet Union, Venezuela and Cuba used similar mechanism to ship hydrocarbon materials from the Caribbean to reduce transport costs.
The diplomat disproved assumptions regarding these agreements. "It is out of place to trumpet it and make loud statements as such interference of influential circles may only harm the cooperation," Americo Diaz Nunez explained. He stressed that there is nothing wrong that the parties do not disclose the cooperation agreement. "Oil as such is a highly inflammable substance," the diplomat noted; Kazinform cites BelTA.
