Uzen-the state border with Turkmenistan railway line to provide Kazakhstan with access to world ports

ASTANA. January 20. KAZINFORM One of the most important industrial achievements of 2011 became completion of construction of the Kazakh sector of a railway line "Uzen-the state border with Turkmenistan", according to the Premier's website pm.kz.
"Uzen-the state border with Turkmenistan" is a new railway line, which will provide Kazakhstan with access to the world ports. This project will connect our country, central regions of Russia through Turkmenistan with Iran, the countries of the Persian Gulf, South and Southeast Asia.
The Kazakh sector of the railway line "Uzen-the state border with Turkmenistan" was officially opened during an all-national tele bridge on December 9, 2011 with participation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
