Uzbekistan - most important partner of Kazakhstan in Central Asia: U.Shukeyev

ALMATY. February 18. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ "We attaché importance to the relations with Uzbekistan", First Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev said yesterday at the session of joint Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation between the countries.
He noted that the session of the Commission is held on the eve of the visit of the Kazakh President to Uzbekistan and it is necessary to work out the topics that will be discussed during the visit.
"Uzbekistan is our most important partner in Central Asia. We lay emphasis on the issues of development of trade-economic cooperation between our countries. We have a range of documents signed earlier. And we would like to discuss the process of implementation of these programs and define new agreements that would allow to cooperate in the trade, economic, humanitarian, educational and cultural spheres closer", U.Shukeyev said.
