Uzbekistan and Germany develop cooperation in textile technologies
Tashkent hosted the “Textile Technology Days: Finishing, Laboratory, Sewing” symposium, UzA reports.
The Head of the Press Service of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, Shakhzoda Kuchkarova, talked about the goals and objectives of this major international event:
– The event, which resulted from fruitful cooperation between the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association and Germany’s Textima Export Import GmbH, was attended by seven leading European textile equipment manufacturers.
The parties focused on the development of cooperation and noted that the symposium is an excellent platform for discussing the latest trends and innovations in the textile industry.
Of course, such meetings create an opportunity for mutual agreements. At the event, the parties signed a memorandum on opening, together with German partners, a Technology School that provides training specialists in Uzbekistan and German companies.
It should be noted that today, the country’s textile industry is one of the leaders in terms of growth rates of key indicators (production and export of products, attraction and development of investments). Textile products are sold in more than 70 countries. Their exports as of 2023 reached $3.4 billion, and the investment indicator over the past four years amounted to $3.2 billion.
Thanks to joint efforts, Uzbekistan textile companies managed to enter Germany’s market and triple textile exports, and create production branches of German companies such as Teamdress and Langheinrich in Uzbekistan.
The Centrastex Trading House in Nuremberg and the Sustainable Cotton Association in Stuttgart also opened, which will become a business platform for further developing cooperation in the textile sector. We entered the supply chain of German brands S. Oliver, Aldi, Adidas, C&A, Falke, Triumph, Vossen, Engelbert Strauss, Teamdress, Hoftex, HTG, and others.
