Uzbekenergotamir JSC builds solar power plants
Uzbekenergotamir JSC is introducing renewable energy sources at thermal power plants, UzA reports.

As part of ensuring the implementation of the Presidential Resolution of August 22, 2019, the capacity of solar photovoltaic installations at power plants was increased to 9.6 MW. After the completion of the ongoing projects, the total capacity of photovoltaic power plants in the system will reach 15 MW.
Solar photovoltaic power plants with a capacity of 3.5 MW are being built at the Turakurgan Thermal Power Plant, with a capacity of 520 kW – at the Syrdarya Thermal Power Plant, with a capacity of 1 MW – at the Fergana Thermal Power Plant, 790 kW – at the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant and 100 kW – at the Angren Thermal Power Plant JSC. As a result of the full launch of solar panels, an additional 27 million kWh of electricity will be produced per year, and five million cubic meters of natural gas will be saved.
