USD 170 mln allocated for reconstruction of "Border of South Kazakhstan oblast-Taraz" road section

ASTANA. September 15. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/A number of draft laws have been discussed at a session of the Majilis's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security under chairmanship of Amzebek Zholshibekov.

Kazakh Vice Minister of Transport and communications Dulat Kuterbekov presented a draft Law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Islamic development Bank on reconstruction of "Border of South Kazakhstan oblast-Taraz" road section within the framework of the project "Western Europe-Western China" and Agency Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Islamic Development Bank on reconstruction of "Border of South Kazakhstan oblast-Taraz" road section within the framework of the project "Western Europe-Western China".

The current Agreement foresees that the Islamic Development Bank lends a credit amounting to USD 398 mln to the Kazakh Government. In accordance with the Agreement signed on July 31, 2009, USD 170 mln is allocated for reconstruction of "Border of South Kazakhstan oblast-Taraz" road section.
