USA welcomes Kazakh President's decision not to pursue referendum

ALMATY. February 1. KAZINFORM /Sara Mustafina/ The United States welcomes the decision by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev not to pursue a national referendum that would extend the president's term to 2020.
"We look forward to hearing further details about the Kazakh government's plans to hold an early presidential election", the U.S. Embassy statement reads.
