U.S. forces redirect 70 commercial vessels amid Iran blockade

As of Aug. 23, U.S. forces have redirected 70 commercial vessels, disabled three and boarded two to ensure compliance, CENTCOM wrote in a post on X.

The activity comes as U.S. forces continue monitoring maritime traffic in the region and enforcing measures aimed at restricting vessels operating in connection with Iran.
Earlier, Qazinform reported Iran had warned of a ‘crushing’ response to the new U.S. threats.
