About 300 U.S. military personnel serve in Pakistan, including instructors for special counter-terrorist operations, the channel reported.

The presence of U.S. troops on Pakistani territory is unpopular among many Pakistanis. The opposition has accused the government of allowing Islamabad to become a "servant of the United States".

Relations between the two states deteriorated after al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed on May 2 in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad, north of the capital Islamabad, during a raid by U.S. Navy Special Forces. Pakistan says it was not notified of the operation beforehand; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
