URGENT: Rector of Aktobe State Pedagogical Institute killed in car crash

A Toyota Land Cruiser drove into oncoming lane and collided with a truck. One more car crashed into the rare of the Toyota Land Cruiser. Both cars went up in flames. Four passengers died at the scene, another two were hospitalized with heavy injuries.

Among those killed is a 55-year-old rector of Aktobe State Pedagogical Institute Galymzhan Nuryshev and his wife.

"This is a tragic loss for us, " vice rector of the Institute A. Mukhametzhan said.

Since 2004, Galymzhan Nuryshev headed the Pedagogical Institute, was a doctor of economic sciences. He did a lot for the establishment and development of our institution. The Institute is considered one of the best in the country," A.  Mukhametzhan added.

Galymzhan Nuryshev also served as deputy of the regional maslikhat, led regional branch of the international society "Kazakh tili."

According to the Institute, farewell to the rector and the funeral will be held July 28 at 9:00 am,  8, "Caspian" district, Atyrau.
