URGENT: Memorial service for border guard Nurlanbek Mukashev held in Balkhash

KARAGANDA. June 10. KAZINFORM A public memorial service for Nurlanbek Mukashev, one of the border guards killed at Arkankergen border outpost was held in Balkhash town of Karaganda region on Sunday.
"This is a tragedy for all Kazakhstanis. We all mourn, and hope that there will be an objective investigation into the death of young men. Nurlanbek was a wonderful guy. We still can not move away from hard news that his life ended so tragically," said the director of the Balkhash lyceum № 7 Ryskul Koybagarova, where N. Mukhashev studied.
The 21-year-old Nurlanbek was the youngest son in his family. His parents moved to Balkhash from Aktogay district. Mother is a librarian. Dad works as excavator operator at a copper factory.
Nurlanbek studied at the Lyceum № 7 in Balkhash. After graduation he entered the Balkhash College of Medicine. In November 2011 he was drafted into the army for frontier service.
