URGENT: Funerals of 12 border guards to be held in Kazakhstan

Bodies of frontiersmen from Atyrau, Zhambyl, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Almaty, Karaganda regions were delivered to their homelands.

As reported earlier, burned bodies of 13 people were found at "Argkankergen" border post in Almaty region, First Deputy Director of Border Service of the Kazakh National Security Committee - Chief of the general staff colonel T. Stambekov said.

According to him, May 30 border patrol unit of "Shygys" Frontier Service found a burnt building of the "Argkankergen" border post, where 15 frontiersmen were on duty. The charred remains of 13 people including a body of a huntsman, whose hunting farm is located close to the border post, were found.

The remains of two more frontiers were found on June 1.

The number of dead is 14 soldiers and one huntsman.

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev declared June 5 a day of national mourning in connection with the death of border guards at "Arkankergen" border outpost.

The national flags were put at half mast as a sign of mourning and respect for the frontiersmen.

11. Private Nurlanbek Mukashev (born 1991);

12. Private Denis Rey (born 1993);

13. Private Zhenis Sagingaliyev (born 1990);
