URGENT: Criminal investigation of blast in Almaty initiated on suspicion of terrorism

TALDYKORGAN. July 11. KAZINFORM Prosecutor's office of Almaty region has initiated a criminal investigation into the explosion that occurred at a house in Seifullin street on Thursday night (July 11) in Tau Samal village of Karasay district.
The criminal case has been initiated under the article 233 "Terrorism".
As was reported earlier, a fire following an explosion broke out in a single family house on July 11 in Almaty region. Bodies of seven people, including two children, were found at the scene. The bodies are to be identified.
According to the prosecutor's office of Almaty region, the police work side by side with the firemen in order to find out what has caused the explosion. One theory is that the accident happened due to the explosion of unknown substance. The fire covered area of 100 square meters.
