URGENT: Car accident kills parents, injures 8yo daughter

KARAGANDA. November 21. KAZINFORM - In a car accident occurred on the highway "Kyzylorda-Pavlodar" two people were killed and three others got injuries of various degrees of severity, the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs reports.

According to police the accident occurred in the evening of November 20 at the 491 km of "Kizilorda-Pavlodar" highway in the Karaganda region.

"A 47-year-old driver of "Opel Vectra" heading out of the city of Karaganda in the direction of Zhana-Arka village during overtaking was unable to cope with the steering and collided with a moving motor vehicle "Toyota Highlander" driven by a 45-year-old man. As a result of an accident "Opel Vectra" driver and his 46-year-old wife have died at the scene", the statement reads.

In addition, an 8-year-old daughter of died parents was taken to the the intensive care unit of the hospital in the Abai district. Two passengers of "Toyota Highlander" have been admitted to the surgical department with various injuries.
