Upper Austria keen on development of coop with Kazakhstan - J. Pühringer
The meeting was also attended by Deputy of the National Council of Austria Wolfgang Grossruck, Mayor of Grieskirchen Maria Pachner and representatives of business circles of Upper Austria. The parties focused on the urgent of development of partnership relations.
The Austrian side expressed interest in joint realization of economic, social and cultural-humanitarian projects and invited Kazakhstan to take part in annual international energy fair which is held traditionally in the capital of the province Linz.
The parties also stressed that the II session of the Kazakh-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic Cooperation scheduled for autumn in Astana would give a strong impulse to development of cooperation, in particular, in implementation of economic projects.
Noteworthy to say that Upper Austria is one of the most developed regions of the country. Over 42 thousand companies and enterprises are functioning here, including those in high technologies and renewable energy sources, and the share of industrial output in economy exceeds 30%. The basic sectors of Upper Austria are machine-building, steel industry, chemistry, pulp and paper and food industries.
Kazakhstan is also keen on establishment of partnership relations with this federal land in particular within implementation of the Forced Industrialization and Path to Europe state programs.
