UNWTO to train Kazakhstani volunteers ahead of EXPO-2017
The forum brought together prominent politicians, tourism ministers, heads of international tourism organizations and companies. At the event, Mr. Zhoshybayev took the floor and delivered a speech focusing mainly on the steps taken by the Government of Kazakhstan in order to improve tourism climate in the country and develop necessary infrastructure. He also stressed that the EXPO-2017 event will be a growth driver for tourism cluster of Kazakhstan. A special panel of the Macao-hosted forum was dedicated to the EXPO-2017 event and tourism in Kazakhstan. A presentation of the upcoming international exhibition in Astana and tourism potential of Kazakhstan was held within the framework of the panel. Mr. Zhoshybayev had a number of meetings on the sidelines of the forum. During the meeting with UNWTO Executive Director Marcio Favilla, the sides agreed that the organization will help train Kazakhstani volunteers and improve the country's visa policy.
