Since late April the two largest child protection organizations functioning in Kazakhstan have been conducting joint consultations with the country's non-commercial organizations. The goal of these meetings is development of effective partnership and implementation of the strategies in the following spheres: Youth Capacity Development; Early Child Development and Mother and Child Health; Children with Disabilities; Youth and Child Protection. Both organizations permanently cooperate with the NCOs, but this is the first time when they joined together.

There are about 150,000 low-income children in Kazakhstan. These children and their families often face problems with obtaining quality education, accession to healthcare and other important social services. Hundreds of non-governmental organizations countrywide provide social services to help such children and their families overcome these problems and improve their lives.

However, as the representatives of Bota Foundation say, very often the NGOs stop their work as soon as the grants are completed. Therefore, it is quite important to ensure non-stop and stable provision of social services to the low-income and vulnerable children and youth.
