Unemployment rate in Customs Union at 1% in September

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The registered unemployment rate in the Customs Union made up 1% in September 2014, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission told BelTA.
As many as 873,400 people were registered as unemployed in the Customs Union member states as of late September 2014, down 8.2% from September 2013. In Belarus the number of registered unemployed went up by 4.1%, in Kazakhstan by 8.2%, in Russia the figure dropped by 9.5%.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, Belarus had 21,800 registered unemployed in late September (0.5% of the economically active population). In Kazakhstan the figure was 55,900 (0.6%), in Russia 795,700 (1%), BelTA reports.
