Unemployment rate in Customs Union at 1.1% in April

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM The registered unemployment rate in the Customs Union totaled 1.1% in April 2014, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission said.

As many as 1,016,100 people were unemployed in the Customs Union and Single Economic Space member states as of late April, 11.8% down from April 2013, said the source. In Belarus the number of registered unemployed dropped by 12.5% year on year. In Kazakhstan the figure dropped by 8.1%, in Russia by 12%.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, Belarus had 22,500 registered unemployed in April (0.5% of the economically active population). In Kazakhstan the figure was 60,400 (0.7%), in Russia 933,200 (1.2%), Belta reports.
