Unemployment in Kostanay region decreased

KOSTANAY. September 15. KAZINFORM. /Pyotr Plakhotnikov/ The level of unemployment in Kostanay region was decreased from 7.1% in the 1st quarter of 2009 to 6.2% at present; deputy director of the regional employment department Nagima Bizhanova told Kazinform.
A decrease in unemployment rate is a result of realization of the antirecessionary measures and investment projects of Road Map state program. "The republican index of unemployment equals 6.7%. Last year it was 6.9%", N. Bizhanova said.
Over 8 months of the current year 16,919 people got jobs or 177% to the analogous period of 2008.
