Underage girls being sold for sex in Karaganda rgn

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Karaganda region police have identified the fact of sex trafficking, the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs informs.
Officers of the Department for Combating Organized Crime have detained a 47- year-old man and his 19 - year-old girlfriend for trafficking of minors. Suspects were caught red-handed. According to the police, the detainees were trying to sell two girls aged 13 and 14 into sexual slavery. The police officer acted as a buyer. The suspect wanted to sell one of the girls for KZT 130 thousand. Police said that the two girls were from wealthy families. They run away from homes and vagabonded in the town of Temirtau. Then they came into sight of the 19-year-old girl who brought them to Karaganda in order to sell into sex slavery. The detainees confessed to the crime. They have been put into a detention center of the region.
