UN Sec-Gen Ban Ki-moon to pay first official visit to Kazakhstan

ASTANA. April 5. KAZINFORM. /Kanat Kulshmanov/ UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will make his first official visit to Kazakhstan on April 6-7; Kazakh MFA's Press Secretary Ilyas Omarov said it at a Monday briefing.
The visit is aimed at strengthening political contacts, discussing issues of cooperation with the Government of Kazakhstan and debating international problems in the light of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE.
The Secretary General plans to visit Semey, get acquainted with the facilities of the National Nuclear Center.
