UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to visit Kazakhstan

ASTANA. July 9. KAZINFORM Navanethem Pillay, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan within her trip around Central Asian countries. Kazakh MFA's official spokesperson Altai Abibullayev told a Monday briefing in Astana. This will be the first visit for Ms Navi Pillay to Kazakhstan.
During her stay Ms Pillay is expected to have talks with Foreign Affairs Minister of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov, Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev and other members of government. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is also to meet with reps of UN agencies and non-governmental organizations of Kazakhstan.
