UN chief congratulated on spring holiday Nowruz

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that "Nowruz, the first day of spring, which is celebrated on the first day of spring, was a centuries-old tradition in many countries of Western, Central and South Asia, the Caucasus, the Balkans and beyond.

"Celebrating Nowruz involves a lot of cultural practices. Ban Ki-moon stressed that a successful initiative sponsored by the inclusion of Nowruz into the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO had been made a number of countries.
