ALMATY. May 15. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ According to the UN analysis, there is no humanitarian crisis in Kyrgyzstan. The level of supplies of fuel and food in this country is sufficient. Special Envoy of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for Kyrgyzstan Zhanibek Karibzhanov has said it at a special session devoted to the situation in Kyrgyzstan held within the framework of the Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum in Almaty.
He noted that the situation improved, however "the cases of looting and violent seizure of private business still exist."
As per the Envoy, it is necessary to pay attention to the existing macroeconomic problems. According to the preliminary and approximate data from the local office of the IMF, the interim government has Euro 200 million in reserves of the country. "However, large fiscal deficit (more than 20% of GDP), not quite favorable investment climate, realization of plans on cut in prices for communal services will decrease budget revenues and thus, lead to inflation growth", Z. Karibzhanov said.
