Ukraine to pay only for precise amount of consumed Russian gas

SOPOT. September 2. KAZINFORM Ukraine will pay only for the precise amount of consumed Russian gas, Prime Ministers Vladimir Putin and Yulia Timoshenko said on Tuesday, Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
They said they would order national economic entities to draft the accord.
"We believe that current conditions of the world financial crisis, which affect national economies, must be taken into account in gas deliveries and settlements," Putin said. "We will order economic entities to bear the situation in mind. We realize that the Ukrainian economy consumes as much resources as it needs, and we will proceed from that", Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
