Ukraine receives $2.8 billion IMF tranche - finance ministry

KIEV. May 15. KAZINFORM Ukraine has received $2.8 billion as a second tranche of a stabilization loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the press service of the country's finance ministry said on Thursday; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
"Yes, we have received (the IMF tranche). A relevant press release with all the details is being prepared," the press service said.
In November 2008, the IMF approved a $16.43 billion stabilization loan to assist Ukraine's economy. Kiev received the first tranche worth $4.5 billion shortly after; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
