Ukraine is negotiating to increase Kazakh oil transit

ASTANA. April 3. KAZINFORM - Ukraine is having talks to increase the transit of Kazakh oil, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of the country Edward Stavitsky said at the briefing following the meeting of the Government, RBC reports.
"Kazakh oil transit via the territory of Ukraine is existing today. Our colleagues from Kazakhstan and we are interested in increasing transit, it will grow to the extent possible ", he said. According to him, it is most likely that the supply will go by rail.
According to E.Stavitsky, the issue of supply of Kazakh oil was considered in Kiev April 1-2, 2013, during the meeting of the Ukrainian-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation. This topic will also be under consideration during the visit of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov, Ukraine on April 4-5, the minister said.
