Ukraine Finance Ministry promises to finance inauguration ceremony

KIEV. February 17. KAZINFORM Ukraine's Finance Ministry said on Wednesday it would find funds to finance the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Viktor Yanukovich, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
"The inauguration ceremony will be financed from the state budget although it has not yet been approved," acting Finance Minister Igor Umansky said, adding that "expenditures on this ceremony have not yet been calculated."
A total of 4.3 million hrivnas (800,000 U.S. dollars at the then exchange rate) were spent on the inauguration ceremony of incumbent President Viktor Yushchenko five years ago.
The newly elected president, Viktor Yanukovich, will take the oath of office at a session of the national parliament, Verkhovnaya Rada, on February 25, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com for full version.
