Ukraine CEC has yet to process 2% of parliamentary poll ballots

The Ukrainian parliamentary election 2012 took place on October 28, 2012. Unlike the two previous elections, these elections used a mixed voting system (50 percent under party lists and 50 percent under simple-majority constituencies) with a 5-percent election threshold and the participation of blocs of political parties was not allowed anymore. The method of 50/50 mixed elections was already used back in 1998 and 2002, Kazinform has learnt from Itar-Tass.
The Batkivshchina (Fatherland) united opposition so far has 103 mandates (61 by party list and 42 in majority constituencies), the UDAR (Ukraine Democratic Alliance for Reform) party of Vitali Klitschko has won 40 MP mandates (34 and 6, respectively), the nationalists of the Svoboda (Freedom) party have won 36 seats in parliament (25 and 11) and the Communist Party has 32 mandates only by the party list. The self-nominees have won 43 seats in the national parliament. The United Centre party led by Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloga will be represented in parliament by the Baloga trio of brothers who won in single-mandate constituencies. Two candidates from the Radical Party won in single-mandate constituencies and one - from the Soyuz (Union) party.
The elections were held by a mixed system: 225 lawmakers were elected by party lists, and the same number- in single-mandate constituencies,
