UAE to invest in construction of 3 plants in Karaganda rgn

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Following negotiations held at the Kazakhstan-UAE Business Forum, an additional amount of investment in the economy of Karaganda region will reach $2 billion.

November 2-4 the United Arab Emirates hosted the Kazakhstan-UAE investment business forum. The event has been participated by the first deputy Mayor of Karaganda region Assylbek Duisebayev. He met with Sheikh of UAE capital Abu Dhabi Mr. Surur and chairman of "Ajman" special economic zone Mr. Ahmed. As a result of the negotiations an agreement was reached on the construction 3 production plants in Karaganda region including sewage treatment works production plant, electric lines production plant, house-building plant, and a number of other investment projects.

Attracting investments in the construction industry will help the region to implement advanced technologies, increase the competitiveness of the area, and achieve challenges voiced in the President's address to the people "Kazakhstan - 2050" Strategy.
