UAE and Kazakhstan cement economic ties

ABU DHABI. March 12. KAZINFORM Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan Askar Mussinov met in Dubai with Chairman of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr.

At the meeting, Speaker of the UAE Parliament hailed the level of political and commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

The Kazakh diplomat, in turn, briefed the prominent politician on the modernization of political and economic spheres and positive social reforms in Kazakhstan. He paid close attention of his interlocutor to the "Kazakhstan-2050" development strategy that would help Kazakhstan join the club of 30 most developed countries.

Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr praised high rates of Kazakhstan's growth and expressed confidence it was going to achieve all goals defined in the new development strategy.

Strengthening of the Kazakh-Emirati economic ties was especially highlighted by the Kazakh envoy. Currently, the UAE is constructing a one-of-a-kind Abu Dhabi Plaza tower in Astana. In addition, Kazakhstan and the UAE set up Al Falah Capital Partners investment project in 2008.

The Chairman of the UAE Federal National Council congratulated Kazakhstan on winning the right to hold the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana. The UAE hope that Dubai's bid to host EXPO-2020 will be as successful as the one submitted by the Kazakh capital. Mr Al Murr believes that "with its extensive experience, Dubai deserves a chance to play a host to such a remarkable event.
