U.S. Secretary of State praised Kazakhstan' s contribution to situation in Afghanistan

Y.Idrissov congratulated John Kerry on his appointment as U.S. Secretary of State, expressing confidence that it will further enhance bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Kazakhstan.
The U.S. Secretary of State praised Kazakhstan's contribution to the stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan, noting the efforts of Kazakhstan in promoting social and economic revival of the country.
John Kerry also expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for hosting the next round of international talks on Iran's nuclear program.
Kerry stressed that due to the voluntary renunciation of nuclear weapons and continuing commitment to strengthening the global non-proliferation regime Kazakhstan is ideal for such negotiations.
In turn, Y.Idrissov noted that Kazakhstan looked forward to upcoming meeting of "six" international negotiators with Iran, expressing hope that all parties will come to constructive solutions for the benefit of our region and the world.
The Kazakh diplomat also highlighted the main points of the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy and expressed hope for further strengthening and deepening of bilateral strategic partnership in all areas, including global and regional security, energy, trade and investment cooperation, development of democracy and the fight against new threats.
