Two Kazakh female boxers reach semifinals at ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships
Team Kazakhstan showed a successful result at the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai on December 3, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.

Three Kazakh boxers were set to enter the ring. However, Milana Safronova (66kg) propelled to the tournament’s semifinals without a bout. She was scheduled to vie against a Chinese boxer, who withdrew from the event. Thus, Milana Safronova earned herself at least a bronze medal.
Makhmud Sabyrkhan (54kg) knocked down a Chinese athlete three times in the first round, cruising into the 1/4 finals of the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships.
Aida Abikeyeva (63kg) beat Dilfuza Bekova of Uzbekistan to advance to the semifinals.
It was earlier reported that Kazakh boxer Ulzhan Sarsenbek (57kg) defeated Karina Vovk of Ukraine by unanimous decision, cruising into the ¼ finals of the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships.
