Two elderly women die in fires

ASTANA. December 31. KAZINFORM Two elderly women were killed in fires, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies.
An apartment in a 5-storey building caught fire in Karaganda yesterday. The fire covered an area of 10 sq.m. A woman's body was found at the scene. 13 people, including two children, were evacuated over the fire that was stifled by the Karaganda emergencies department.
A single-family house burst into flames on December 30 in Kabanbai settlement in Almaty region. The fire covered an area of 50 sq.m.
The Almaty emergencies department crew discovered a woman's body at the spot. A 64-year-old man was hospitalized with CO poisoning.
