The company was established by "National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" JSC to increase the capacity of the Trans-Caspian transit. Two universal vessels with carrying capacity of 5000 tons each will operate under the flag of Kazakhstan.

"This is a very important event in the life of our country. First we are becoming the state, which through rail and road transport connects Western China with Europe, namely, through Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea. Therefore, the issues of dry cargo have been important for us. For the first time we have launched cargo ships on our Kazakh land. I congratulate you all on this remarkable occasion.

Generally process of giving names is a very difficult thing, and a big responsibility. But we at sea space, as it is customary in the world, we want to emphasize our Kazakh brands. Therefore, if there is no objection, one of the dry cargo I would call "Turkestan", as this is our sanctuary, and the other one will be "Beket ata". May his spirit will always support us", said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
