Twins conjoined at the liver separated in Peru

LIMA. May 22. KAZINFORM Two baby girls who shared a liver have been separated by doctors in Lima, Peru. The three-month-olds are recovering a month after the surgery, which took more than 30 medical staff eight hours to complete. Orfelinda Vasquez Sanchez and Segundo Vargas Fuentes are expected to recover fully but will need monitoring throughout their lives.
