TURKPA observers assess Kazakhstan presidential elections legitimate

ASTANA. April 4. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ The observers of the Turkic-speaking Countries Parliamentary Assembly (TURKPA) say the elections in Kazakhstan fully meet the democratic standards. Head of the TURKPA Observers' Mission, Deputy of Azerbaijan Parliament Aidyn Mirzazade has said it at a briefing today.
"The electoral process was calm and all stages of the electoral process were quite positive. The work of the Central Election Commission was transparent", A. Mirzazade noted.
According to him, the international observers take into consideration that some technical shortages occur during all modern elections independently on a country.
"In whole we assess the presidential elections in Kazakhstan as legitimate and meeting all international democratic standards", A. Mirzazade stressed.
