Turkish plane lands successfully after lightning strike

ANKARA. January 25. KAZINFORM A Turkish plane with one engine on fire made a successful landing after being struck by a lightning during a flight from Istanbul to Izmir on Thursday night, local media reported Friday.
Carrying 114 passengers, the plane of the Turkish Airlines, took off from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Thursday. A lightning hit the plane during the flight, setting one of the engines ablaze.
The plane finally managed to land at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, without causing any injuries, Xinhua reports.
