Turkey officials awarded jubilee medals '20th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence'
Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bulent Arınc, former Culture Minister Namik Kemal Zeybek, former Parliament Speaker Hikmet Cetin, representatives of cultural and academic circles and media of Turkey attended the event.
On the occasion of the historic date Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev delivered a speech, in which he drew attention to the key milestones in the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey over the last 20 years, the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the opportunities of strengthening mutually beneficial economic, scientific, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries. The diplomat stressed the importance of the forthcoming official visit of the Head of State to Turkey and the first meeting of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council. The meeting is expected to end with the signing of bilateral documents, as well as the plan of implementation of the Joint Economic Program "New Synergy" under the aegis of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Mr. Bulent Arinc noted the significance of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two brotherly countries and appreciated the political and economic achievements of Kazakhstan made during this period. "Kazakhstan is one of the important countries in the world, whose political weight and authority increases year after year. This is a great achievement of the respected President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev," the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey said. He wished success to Kazakhstan and expressed confidence in further strengthening of Kazakh-Turkish cooperation.
Ambassador Tuimebayev awarded jubilee medals "20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" for contribution to the development of friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey to Bulent Arinc, Hikmet Cetin and Namik Kemal Zeybek.
As reported earlier, the visit of the Kazakh President to Turkey is scheduled for 11-12 October 2012.
