“Turkestan – spiritual capital city” exhibition opened in Karaganda region

KARAGANDA. September 4. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ "Turkestan - spiritual capital city" exhibition was opened in the museum of the history of mining and melting in Karaganda region, Kazinform refers to the regional cultural department.
"The main purpose of the exposition is to promote the spiritual heritage of Turkestan - the city with rich history, where unique monument of architects of XIV century - the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi - was preserved till our days", deputy head of the cultural department of Karaganda region Vera Andreyeva said at the opening ceremony.
The exhibition complex consists of five parts. Archeological artifacts dated back to IV - V - XIV - XVIII centuries, books of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, coins found at the territory of Turkestan, material on the history of the city and photos of ancient and new Turkestan are performed here.
