Trump to be questioned by FBI as victim of attempted murder after Butler attack
The former president of the United States Donald Trump has agreed to submit to an interrogation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which is investigating his attempted murder on July 13 during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Agenzia Nova reports.

He announced it Old Day, the special agent in charge of the Pittsburgh office of the FBI, quoted by "CNN" during a conference call held with journalists. The interrogations of the victims, the official pointed out, are an ordinary part of criminal investigations but take place on a voluntary basis. During the call Rojek then made it known that investigators are focusing their efforts on discovering the attacker's motive Thomas Matthew Crooks who is described as "very intelligent" and with a growing interest in shootings. Then confirming that Crooks, before the attack, had obtained information online about the murder of John Fitzgerlad Kennedy, Rojek added that the attacker had also carried out searches relating to “power plants, mass shootings, information on improvised explosive devices and the attempted assassination of the Slovak prime minister (Robert Fico) earlier this year.”
Crook's primary social circle, the FBI official continued, “appears to be limited to his immediate family, as we believe he had few friends and acquaintances throughout his life. “Although the FBI investigation has not yet determined a motive, we believe the subject made significant efforts to conceal his activities,” Rojek continued.
“Furthermore, we believe that his actions also show careful planning before the election rally,” he added. “Beginning in the spring of 2023 the subject made more than 25 separate firearm purchases from online firearms sellers using an alias,” Rojek said, noting that in the first half of 2024 Crooks also made “six purchases online of chemical precursors of materials used to create the explosive devices recovered in the subject's vehicle and home, using pseudonyms."
